As the physician and founder of Bakersfield Pediatrics, Dr. Bustamante has always been well attuned to the joys and difficulties of new parenthood. A first-time parent is busy taking care of their new baby and has questions about feeding, sleeping, and crying around-the-clock. Over a decade ago, Dr. Bustamante created iFollowUp for Bakersfield Pediatrics, one of the earliest innovations in SMS-based telemedicine, to support his patients at this phase. By meeting patients where they were in the comfort of their own homes, the practice was able to provide immediately valuable guidance and care, and additionally, boost patient adherence to clinicians’ recommendations.

We built an AI-enabled Interactive Career Center (ICC) recruiting tool for our partner, Bakersfield Pediatrics, to help field recruiting tasks for critical high-volume, high-turnover roles such as patient administrators, nurses, and receptionists. Focused on the candidate experience, we efficiently pre-screen and filter in order to save valuable time and resources while building a strong, reliable patient experience team. The ICC empowers healthcare practices to staff efficiently while eliminating important yet repetitive overhead.
